There are many ways to add a button to a webpage. However, there is a very easy way to create a button from text.
Create a Button From Text
Identify location of button
In an existing Content Block text box, identify or type the text that you would like to have as a button.
TIP: Put the text on a separate line.
Note: The button justification will be the same as the justification of the paragraph formatting of the text box.Select Text
Highlight the text, then click the link button in the toolbar at the top of the box.
Set the Link Settings
The "Link Settings" menu will show:
- Change the "Link Text" if needed.
- "Choose Link Type".
- Add the URL address to link or select "Link to another page".
- Click "+Show More Options" for more options.
TIP: It is a best practice to have a link "Open in a new window". If you want to have the link open in a new window, select it.
Create the Button
- For "Link Style", click the "Normal Link" drop-down menu. Many options will show.
From here you'll experiment with the way you would like your button to show on the page. Select an option or choose another.
You can also choose button size, shape and Default shadow. Play with the settings until you find the button you prefer.
Save
Click "Save Changes" and the Button will show your your page.Make sure it works!
Test the button to ensure the link is correct and working properly.
